P.T.I's quality system is constantly refined to meet the ever-increasing expectations of our customers, whilst remaining conscious of the needs of the organisation. The company have and continues to invest in the latest metrology equipment to ensure all customer quality and calibration requirements can be met. The company has held ISO17025 (previously NAMAS) approval for the UKAS calibration of Gear and Spline components and products since 1990. ISO 9001 approval was gained in 1996 and in 2005 gained API approval for the supply of Spec 5B and Spec 7 Oil and Gas industry thread gauges.

The company also has a fully equipped Inspection Laboratory for dimensional and surface measurement. First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102 or in-house), critical to quality and gear and spline geometry reports are provided as specified by our customers. Customer specific quality requirements can be incorporated into our production processes together with specific customer standards.

Tailored quality and production procedures ensure that components are qualified throughout the manufacturing process, maintaining traceability from raw materials to the finished parts.

Key performance graphs are employed to maximise the contribution that individuals make to the success of the organisation. The information contained in these graphs is utilised to ensure the company continues to improve.

Equipment in the calibration and inspection laboratories includes a Klingelberg PNC 35 Gear inspection System, SIP 1002 length measuring machine, Zeiss measuring microscope, 4 CNC Mitutoyo co-ordinate measuring machines, 1 manual Mitutoyo measuring machine, Skidless Surface finish system with software, Contour Tracing system with software, specialist thread inspection machines and traditional hand held equipment.
